About

A little surreal, sometimes stark and all at once ebullient, we embark on discovery and understanding by peeling back layers to reveal what lies beneath. With our heads in the clouds and our eyes fixed on the stars, we are submerged and grounded in the natural world. Every singing bird on a still morning and every tremor of the Earth’s plates reverberate within our souls.  This is reflected in everything we do and are. It affects how we see God and how we see each other. It affects our politics and our consumer preferences. We cannot escape nature. It is in us and around us simultaneously, composed of the same elements, relying on the same stars and the same Sun. We may see a lotus blooming amid the muck or a crisp image of ourselves peering back from glassy waters. What I hope is that through examining these posts you, the reader, will see your place among the stars and the soil a bit more clearly, and perhaps strive a bit harder to make a difference here in this world.
